Client Success:
Glider Welcomes New Client: University of the Arts London
Glider is thrilled to announce its latest partnership with the University of the Arts London (UAL). This prestigious institution is renowned for its commitment to creativity, innovation, and excellence in arts education.
Facilitating innovation and growth at Stratford Waterfront
Glider is proud to have been involved in the capital delivery of Stratford Waterfront. In particular the handover of information from construction to the London Legacy Development Corporate (LLDC). As part of the Stratford Waterfront development, UAL’s London College of Fashion will play a pivotal role in the cultural and educational renaissance of East London.
About Stratford Waterfront
Stratford Waterfront, which has been spearheaded by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), is an ambitious project that leverages the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It will create a dynamic new hub for creativity, learning and community engagement.
Alongside UAL’s London College of Fashion, the development will host a number of cultural and educational institutions including the BBC, Sadler’s Wells and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
A seamless handover
Glider’s involvement in this development demonstrates our commitment to facilitating the seamless transition from handover to operation. We are passionate about helping asset owners to maximise the value of built assets in the future. As the project’s information management partner, we have been entrusted with the critical task of ensuring the continuity and integrity of data throughout the project lifecycle.
Using our award-winning software platform, gliderbim®, our Information Managers have meticulously captured and validated information during the construction phase. This is helping to lay the groundwork for a smooth handover to UAL and other tenants.
All information is securely stored in gliderbim® ready to be transferred to the tenants of Stratford Waterfront enabling them to manage their own supply chains during fit-out.
Embracing a smarter future
After fit-out is complete, they will have a robust library of asset information. This will empower them to effectively manage their new facility and integrate it with other systems including smart building technologies.
Glider is passionate about digitising the built environment. As well as working with Main Contractors on the capital delivery of prestigious development projects like Stratford Waterfront, Glider also helps Asset Owners to understand their built assets and adopt smart building and digital twin technologies.
