Company Updates:
Glider gains Cyber Essentials Plus certification
Glider is delighted to announce that it has received its Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Following the renewal of its IS0 27001, and the attainment of its Cyber Essentials certificate earlier in the year, acquiring its Cyber Essentials Plus Certification demonstrates Glider’s outstanding commitment to cyber security.
Safeguarding sensitive information is a cause for concern which the construction industry is continuing to make a priority. Gaining the Cyber Essentials Plus certificate verifies Glider’s ability to keep data secure.
Glider’s flagship product gliderbim® is an intelligent information management platform which supports the whole asset data lifecycle, from conceptual design through to the operation and maintenance of buildings. As a software provider which hosts sensitive project and asset information, Glider pledges to always keep data secure.
Nick Hutchinson, Managing Director of Glider, commented on the certification: “This is yet another accreditation that demonstrates Glider’s commitment to cyber security. This certification reassures our existing clients that we have a strong defence against cyber attacks, and will let new clients know that their data is in safe hands with Glider. I can’t thank the team enough for their dedication to cyber security and gaining this certification.”
The Cyber Essentials certification is a government-backed scheme, designed to protect organisations from cyber attacks. The certification ensures that organisations have fundamental safeguards in place to protect themselves from cyber attacks. The Cyber Essentials Plus is the consecutive certification, verifying that organisations are protected against cyber attack via an in-depth technical assessment.
Obtaining this level of certification reassures clients of a business’ secure infrastructure, and allows a business to gain a clear picture of its cyber security level. Significantly, organisations aiming to bid for central government contracts which involve handling sensitive and personal information or the provision of certain technical products and services, will require a Cyber Essentials Certification.
“The Cyber Essentials Plus certificate reaffirms our data defence strategy to existing clients, including the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Ministry Of Justice (MOJ) and National Health Service (NHS) and will be important to the future of securing public sector contracts,” added Nick Hutchinson.
