Glider enjoys team-building fun in Barcelona
Following all of their recent, Team Glider has been celebrating their hard work with an exciting company trip to Barcelona.
Just one day after the CABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers) Awards, where Glider was the recipient of the Digital Transformation Award, the team boarded a plane to enjoy some well-earned time away from work.

Glider’s team away day in Barcelona
Glider recognises that behind every successful company is a great team! Which is why the company thinks of exciting ways to reward its employees for their efforts. Team Glider took an entertaining trip to the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia. Everyone bonded as a team, experienced Spanish culture and shared plenty of memorable moments and laughs.
Day 1
On the first day of the trip, the team arrived around midday in time to enjoy a beautiful three-course meal on the marina. This was followed by an eventful team GPS tablet challenge and an afternoon of exploration. The day was topped off with a fabulous Flamenco dinner and show in the evening.
Day 2
On Saturday, the team started the day by sharing a breakfast together. This was followed by a Catamaran Boat Cruise where they took in the breath-taking vistas of the Mediterranean sea. After enjoying canapes and lunch onboard, they were able to discover the Catamaran Docks before returning home.
Company culture
Glider prides itself on being a progressive company. Not just in terms of technical innovation, but also in its company culture. Glider is a fully remote business, giving its employees the flexibility to work from home. The team agrees that this makes the time they share out of office all the more meaningful. Additionally, memorable work trips such as this ensure that the team make personal connections. These may not necessarily be made when working in an office.
Nick Hutchinson, Managing Director of Glider, commented: “At Glider, we definitely believe in working hard and playing hard! This is why we have taken this two-day trip together. We run a completely remote business, which makes times like these even more precious.”
Glider acknowledges the importance of a healthy work-life balance. The company offers its employees competitive advantages such as enjoyable recreational experiences and remote working. Home working is part of Glider’s environmental policy. As well as being instrumental in its actions as a socially responsible business, Glider’s employees’ health and wellbeing is a priority.
