Glider awarded Crown Commercial service G-Cloud 13 contract

Information Management specialist Glider has been awarded the G-Cloud 13 (RM 1557.13) contract. This contract follows Glider’s prior appointment as a supplier on the G-Cloud 12 network where it gained contracts with high-status clients including the Ministry of Defence (MOD), British Antarctic Surveys (BAS) and the National Health Service (NHS).

The Crown Commercial Service, as the contracting authority is putting in place a framework agreement designed to enable public sector customers in the UK to find and buy cloud computing services. It is intended to build upon the benefits of the previous G-Cloud framework, to provide access to multiple suppliers and cloud services, (including a high number of SMEs), a quick and easy route to market, and access to the latest cloud technology and innovation.

G-Cloud 13 is used by UK public sector bodies identified at VI.3 (and any future successors to these organisations), which includes Central Government Departments and their Arm’s Length Bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies, British Overseas Territories, and Crown Dependencies, NHS bodies, Local Authorities and Universities.

Stuart Bell, Director of Sales & Marketing at Glider, commented on the achievement: “We are incredibly proud to have secured yet another contract with the Crown Commercial Service. Glider is leading the asset management software market, and this recent contract is just one example of it. The advanced capabilities of our software, and the knowledge of our information management consultants ensures that clients can get the best out of their data and manage their assets as efficiently as possible.”

Stuart continued: “Given the sensitive nature of the framework, security is a requirement for all suppliers. Therefore, winning the contract is a testament to the integrity of Glider’s data-first, highly secure infrastructure.”

Glider’s digital solutions empower its client’s teams to manage their data and exploit it for their organisational needs, and the team looks forward to supporting new clients onboarded through the G-cloud 13 Framework.
