Lifting the Lid on Digital Twins: Going Beyond Data Visuals

Lifting the Lid on Digital Twins: Going Beyond Data Visuals

In a world flooded with digital twin products, it’s crucial to separate fact from fiction. This webinar, led by industry expert Lucas Cusack, tackles the myths and ambiguities surrounding digital twins today. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of what digital twins are – and more importantly, what they are not.

A true digital twin connects physical and digital worlds, and that’s where Digital Twin as a Service (DTaaS) comes in.

No single vendor can offer a complete digital twin solution in one package. DTaaS integrates the best hardware and software components, making it the optimal choice for today’s complex environments.

Join us to learn about the key elements of digital twins, the challenges of scaling, and how to effectively make the business case for adopting DTaaS.

Glider’s information management challenge on 40 Leadenhall Street

Glider's information management challenge on 40 Leadenhall Street

Glider was appointed as the asset information management and handover consultant during the construction of this prestigious building. We handled all the data. Due to the number of trades involved, this resulted in hundreds of models, and as a result, a large volume of asset data to be managed. By keeping all the validated and structured data together in one platform, the operator and tenants now have the opportunity to fully exploit the data to run the building.

This webinar provides valuable insights into the information management journey undertaken on this award-winning project. We shed light on the complexities we encountered and the strategies employed to ensure a seamless handover to operation.

About the speaker:

For over 20 years, Lucas has been bridging the gap between construction and operation. He facilitates the procurement, delivery and management of asset information. Consequently, he has held information management roles in the development, design, construction and operation of large and real estate assets. During this time, Lucas saw opportunity for the use of data at each stage in an asset’s lifecycle and has worked to manage its transition and exploitation from one stage to the next.

At Glider, Lucas manages the go-to-market strategy for creating value for asset owners from the information produced from design and construction.

From data to intelligence: the role of information management in a smart building strategy

From data to intelligence: the role of information management in a smart building strategy

For more than 15 years, Building Information Modelling (BIM) has been a prevalent term within the construction industry. However, its influence has now extended beyond construction and into the realms of facilities, property management and asset management. BIM represents more than a mere 3D model; it transcends the concept of a digital twin. So, what precisely is BIM, and how does it relate to smart buildings?

Numerous smart building strategies falter due to the mishandling of data due to it being unstructured, incomplete, incorrect or incompatible. Implementing a robust information management strategy ensures that you unlock the full potential of the data generated by your assets. This transformation of data into actionable intelligence ultimately translates into cost savings, achievement of sustainability objectives, and the creation of a more comfortable and functional environment for your occupants.

By watching this on-demand webinar, you will discover that BIM is not just another passing trend but a comprehensive process that promises to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and optimise your asset management. It will equip you with the ability to seamlessly integrate new technologies at a lower cost while extracting greater value from the data they generate.

The case for information management

On demand webinar: The case for information management

With new technologies and the intense activity needed to satisfy the Building Safety Act, the need for high quality information management continues to be overlooked.

Not only does this put the UK’s reputation as an international leader in BIM at risk, but it could undermine the significant effort made to structure key industry data and digitise asset lifecycle processes.

In this recorded webinar, Glider’s Head of Product John Adams, makes the case for continued focus and effort in implementing the information management mandate from the way we design, build and operate our built environment to the exciting digital future for asset owners. He demonstrates how structured information can help to improve the efficient running of a complex estate with real life examples from some of Glider’s customers

Asset Information Models: What asset owners need to know

On Demand Webinar - Asset Information Models: What asset owners need to know

In this watch-on-demand webinar, we explore why asset owners need to know the value of their AIM and why it’s important to maintain it.

Whether you’re an asset owner of a new building or have a portfolio of properties, you are likely to be undertaking a digitisation programme. And if that includes onboarding technology such as a BMS, IoT sensors, room booking, entry controls, energy management and lighting then capturing data in a consistent and connected way will be vital.

Lucas Cusack, Strategic Lead for Asset Management at Glider Technology, explores the common challenges asset owners have with creating and maintaining an AIM and how they can extract more value from a building in the future.

The key to effective digital delivery in construction

On demand webinar - The key to effective digital delivery in construction

Digital delivery in construction allows for the implementation of digital tools to enhance the processes behind designing, constructing, and maintaining a built asset as well as in handover.

When you adopt a robust digital solution, you can optimise operations and improve efficiency during the construction period, facilitate productive communication and collaboration across the supply chain, and guarantee the safety of a built asset throughout its entire lifecycle.

In this one-hour webinar we discuss digital delivery, methodology of delivery, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and our Glider software solutions.
