The project

The redevelopment of Schroders 1 London Wall Place included a £100m+ fit out project of the 15-story building. Glider was appointed O&M Technical Collator and BIM Integration Manager.

As part of this role, working with Overbury, the main contractor, we managed the entire supply chain throughout the fit-out design and construction programme.

The solution

We delivered accurate, comprehensive, structured O&M and asset data. This was fully integrated with the as-built BIM models to create a comprehensive Asset Information Model hosted and managed by gliderbim®.

By using gliderbim®, we successfully delivered the BIM and O&M deliverables. We also created a unique integration with the Client’s new iBMS software solution.

The result

As a result, the Schroders FM team was able to leverage the structured asset data managed. This included using gliderbim® to enrich their CAFM system, Planon.

In addition, our solution provided an automated process of verifying the completeness and validity of the asset data. The FM Team members were then able to familiarise themselves with the O&M requirements prior to handover of the building as the O&M information was progressively produced throughout the construction phase.

The gliderbim® software is the single point of truth for all asset data. This includes O&M information and BIM models, designed to support an effective O&M regime.
