Case Study:
Arm
Arm was founded by a dozen engineers working from a converted barn in Cambridge, UK a quarter of a century ago, and by the end of 2015 that team had grown to more than 4,200 people in sites around the world.
Glider was appointed as the BIM Manager and O&M Manager for the £100m+ fit out of Arm's 300,000sqft 3-storey office space in Cambridge
Today, Arm’s global headquarters remains in Cambridge and Glider was appointed by BW: Workplace Experts as the BIM Manager and O&M Manager for the fit out of this 300,000sqft, 3-storey office space.
Glider’s task was to manage the entire supply chain throughout the fit-out design and construction programme to deliver accurate, comprehensive, structured BIM and O&M deliverables.
With our support, Arm’s Operations team was able to leverage the structured asset data stored and managed by gliderbim® to enrich the CAFM system, FSI Concept.
In addition, gliderbim® provided an automated process of verifying the completeness and validity of the asset data. The Operations team is able to familiarise themselves with the O&M requirements prior to handover of the building as the O&M information is progressively produced throughout the commissioning process.
