Project Manager
- Full time (40 hours per week Monday-Friday)

Job Overview
Project Managers (PM) plan and manage the delivery of record documentation/information, in order to maintain and develop the sales of Glider (or its associated companies) products, to end user Clients and Contractors. Building Fabric & Building services focused, the PM will be expected to have the ability to create and review the information within Health and Safety Files, Operating and Maintenance Manuals, Building Logbooks and User Guides.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the collation of the information to the agreed template, timescale and quality. Take ownership from point of order through until project close. Addressing any project creep is controlled accordingly.
- Plan, control and co-ordinate the internal technical and administration staff who compile the data and products.
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information at regular meetings.
- Communicate with customers and construction team members to ensure all necessary information is obtained, processed and feedback provided within the agreed timescales.
- Manage the financial elements for each project and advise customers and internal estimators of any alterations to costs that need to be advised to customers.
- Report on changes to the Development and Project Team on any non-standard requirements to products or processes and ensure such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department’s resources and procedures.
- Manage all staff reporting to the position.
- Take responsibility for the personal development of your team.
- Ensure they have adequate training and tools to fulfil their role utilising the annual and biannual developments reviews.
- Where needed manage, monitor and evaluate team priorities to ensure there is no project creep.
- When needed, set out justification for recruitment and manage the recruitment process.
- Liaise with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant activities and support in relation to the organisation’s sales, production and operating functions.
- Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in the document creation activity and procedures.
- Manage/liaise with customers and advise them of status of their projects.
- Maintain the project status database to ensure the information is relevant, correct and up to date.
- Maintain your ability in the use of, all relevant ICT (Information & Communications Technology) and other systems within the project management function.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through account support, and liaison with internal order-processing staff.
- Liaise and attend meetings throughout the company necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies.
- Understand and delegate roles required as detailed within the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) or Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).

Digital Delivery (BIM) Manager
- Full time (40 hours per week Monday-Friday)
- Salary £35k per annum (depending on experience) + Competitive Benefits Package

Job Overview
A Digital Delivery Manager at Glider Technology (Glider) will have a diverse workday and will be expected to be adaptable in their approach. The role will also be required to assist in the management of the project delivery lifecycle. A Digital Delivery Manager will be asked to provide consultancy services to understand and develop data requirements for customers, implement our products and adapt and create models using industry software amongst other duties. You will be required to work alongside other members of Glider for the technical accuracy of the data.
Responsibilities & Duties
Digital Delivery Managers are responsible for the following:
- Working across multiple projects to provide the role of a Digital Delivery Manager.
- Contributing to content for BIM Strategies, Employer’s Information Requirements, Asset Information Requirements, and BIM Execution Plans (for bids and projects)..
- Acting as BIM Information Manager on projects, where required.
- Acting as BIM Manager on projects, where required.
- Acting as BIM Coordinator on projects, where required.
- Working with the Contracts Director to ensure that projects are delivered in alignment with company Standards, Methods & Procedures (SMP’s)
- Providing gliderbim® implementation, training and support services for customers.
- Working with clients to define BIM requirements and BIM management strategies for design, construction and operation.
- Working with the Board of Directors and Software Development Team to help improve all aspects of the company’s software and Glider’s consultancy services.
- Working with the Board of Directors and Software Development Team to help define the product development roadmap.
- Helping to train and mentor new members of the BIM team.
- Managing the workloads and supervising more junior BIM Consultants as the team and company grows.
- From time to time, Digital Delivery Managers will be expected to attend industry conferences and events on behalf of Glider.
In addition to their technical skills, Digital Delivery Managers are also called upon to help train new members of the team and to mentor junior engineers. They also are sometimes required to liaise with sales personnel to answer technical questions about the company’s products, and to work with support staff to help resolve complex customer issues.

- PAS1192(all), BS1192(all), ISO 19650 (all) & CIC BIM protocols
- IFC and other commonly used data exchange formats
- Common Data Environments
- Model authoring software

Information Controller

Job Overview
An Information Controller will work with multiple contacts to gather and collate information, sift through and quality check in order to produce excellent handover information. A keen eye for detail is very important with the ability to communicate well.
Responsibilities & Duties
- The key responsibilities of an Information Controller are, but are not limited to:
- Using in house software to manage information provided by subcontractors and clients to ensure timely project handover
- Ensure all incoming information is recorded as received and dealt with promptly
- Extract information from external sources to complete equipment schedules
- Ensure that personal system tasks are actioned on time in full and third-party actions are closed on completion
- Review and approve as-built literature/information provided by third parties
- Action non-technical comments on manuals
- Addressing any project creep and controlling where possible. Elevate to the Project Manager if needed
- Maintain project management tools to ensure the information is relevant, correct and up to date
- Maintain your ability in the use of, all relevant ICT (Information & Communications Technology)
- Feedback any system/process improvements to appropriate internal team to ensure continuous improvement is sustained
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Fulfil roles required as detailed within the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) or Task Information Delivery Plan (TIPD)
In addition to their technical skills, Information Controllers are also called upon to help train new members of the team as and when required.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
The key skills and qualities of an Information Controller are:
- Construction background, ideally have a firm understanding of M&E
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate both internally and client side
- Attention to detail, quality checking is a large part of the role
- Understanding of data management
- Able to organise information in a logical manner
- Work off own initiative and prioritise work load
- Methodical, completer finisher, questioning nature
