Information Controller
An Information Controller will work with multiple contacts to gather and collate information, sift through and quality check in order to produce excellent handover information. A keen eye for detail is very important with the ability to communicate well.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of an Information Controller are, but are not limited to:
- Using in house software to manage information provided by subcontractors and clients to ensure timely project handover
- Ensure all incoming information is recorded as received and dealt with promptly
- Extract information from external sources to complete equipment schedules
- Ensure that personal system tasks are actioned on time in full and third-party actions are closed on completion
- Review and approve as-built literature/information provided by third parties
- Action non-technical comments on manuals
- Addressing any project creep and controlling where possible. Elevate to the Project Manager if needed
- Maintain project management tools to ensure the information is relevant, correct and up to date
- Maintain your ability in the use of, all relevant ICT (Information & Communications Technology)
- Feedback any system/process improvements to appropriate internal team to ensure continuous improvement is sustained
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Fulfil roles required as detailed within the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) or Task Information Delivery Plan (TIPD)
- In addition to their technical skills, Information Controllers are also called upon to help train new members of the team as and when required.
- Attending online client meetings with the Project Manager providing updates on sub contractor performance and general project status reporting
- Taking telephone calls from clients and sub contractors
Key Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- The key skills and qualities of an Information Controller are:
- Construction background, ideally have a firm understanding of M&E
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate both internally and client side
- Attention to detail, quality checking is a large part of the role
- Understanding of data management
- Able to organise information in a logical manner
- Work off own initiative and prioritise work load
- Methodical, completer finisher, questioning nature
- Quality background
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Working hours: Full time (40 hours per week Monday-Friday)
Location: Hybrid contract with 1-2 days in the Chelmsford office
Annual leave: 25 days’ annual leave (plus UK bank holidays)
This role may require some form of Security Clearance (SC) depending on the client or project. To meet the eligibility criteria for SC, candidates must have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years. Contact UsSales – Business Development Representative (x2)
We are looking for two Business Development Representatives (BDRs) who will be responsible for identifying and qualifying digital handover project opportunities across contractors outside Glider’s strategic enterprise accounts.
The roles focus on:
- generating project opportunities
- engaging project teams
- supporting the project sales team
- identifying asset owner opportunities for long-term platform adoption
These roles sit at the intersection of construction delivery and operational asset management, ensuring projects convert into both handover deployments and future operational relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Project Opportunity Generation
Identify construction and refurbishment projects where Glider can deliver digital handover solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- identifying project opportunities through contractor networks
- monitoring project pipelines across contractors outside the Top 50
- mining historical project backlogs
- tracking upcoming project handover opportunities
- identifying key stakeholders within project teams
- engaging contractors and project teams to introduce Glider
Outbound Prospecting
Generate qualified project opportunities through structured outreach.
Responsibilities include:
- outbound calling and email outreach
- targeting contractors and project teams
- identifying digital handover needs
- scheduling meetings for the project sales team
Expected activity:
- ~50 qualified outbound calls per week
- consistent meeting generation
Asset Owner Qualification
Identify and qualify asset owners associated with project opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- identifying the asset owner for each project
- qualifying asset owner suitability for platform adoption
- gathering key information about the estate and operational model
- identifying potential maintain platform opportunities
- Qualified asset owner opportunities are then handed to the New Business / Account Management team.
Pipeline Development
Support the Project Sales team in maintaining a strong project pipeline.
Responsibilities include:
- maintaining CRM records
- tracking project progress
- ensuring pipeline visibility
- collaborating with Sales Operations on reporting
Success Metrics
The BDR will be measured against:
Activity Metrics
- Outbound calls per week
- Meetings generated
- Projects identified
Pipeline Metrics
- Qualified project opportunities created
- Projects progressing to quote
Commercial Impact
- Projects converted to platform deployments
- Asset owners qualified for maintain opportunities
Collaboration
The BDR works closely with:
Project Sales Team – Supporting project opportunity development and handover sales.
Enterprise Contractor Sales – Aligning project opportunities with contractor relationships.
Sales Operations – Maintaining pipeline visibility and reporting.
Customer Onboarding & Delivery – Supporting smooth transition once projects convert.
New Business / Account Management Team – Handing off qualified asset owner opportunities for operational platform expansion.
Skills
We are looking for someone who is:
- proactive and highly organised
- comfortable with outbound prospecting
- interested in the built environment and digital transformation
- able to build relationships quickly
Experience in construction, SaaS, or business development is advantageous but not essential.
Salary: £35,000 base salary with up to £10,000 performance based commission (OTE £45,000)
