International asset management company, Schroders PLC, was founded in 1804. Today Schroders employs over 5,000 people worldwide in 32 locations around Europe, America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
In the redevelopment of Schroders 1 London Wall Place, Glider was appointed O&M Technical Collator and BIM Integration Manager for this £100m+ fit out project of this impressive 15-story building.
As part of this role, we managed the entire supply chain throughout the fit-out design and construction programme to deliver accurate, comprehensive, structured O&M and asset data. This was fully integrated with the as-built BIM models to create a comprehensive Asset Information Model hosted and managed by gliderbim®.
By using gliderbim®, we successfully delivered the BIM and O&M deliverables and created a unique integration with the Client’s new iBMS software solution.
The Schroders FM team was able to leverage the structured asset data managed by gliderbim® to enrich their CAFM system, Planon.
In addition, our solution provided an automated process of verifying the completeness and validity of the asset data. The FM Team members were then able to familiarise themselves with the O&M requirements prior to handover of the building as the O&M information was progressively produced throughout the construction phase.
