Glider has appointed a new Software Engineer to its award-winning gliderbim® team.
Ryan Porter has seven years’ experience in design and development, having begun his journey in the AEC industry as a civil engineering technician at ARUP. With in-depth knowledge of BIM and software development, Ryan’s appointment helps Glider to fill the ever-increasing demand for Common Data Environment (CDE) and Digital Twin solutions, focussing on some of our substantial new contracts.
With an enormous appetite among the AEC industry for better, more comprehensive data and data tools, gliderbim® offers an intelligent solution for managing information throughout an asset’s lifecycle – allowing clients to create their own unique set up. End-to-end asset information management requires impeccable software skills, and Ryan will be enhancing the gliderbim® platform and developing new bespoke software tools that meet clients’ needs.
“I am excited to join Glider and share my experience across both the AEC and software industries. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to bring those two channels together and join this experienced team with such a wealth of knowledge.” Ryan said of the new role.
Ryan will not only bring his multifaceted skill set to Glider and help to further the talents of Glider’s already robust team, but he will also have the opportunity to learn and grow as Glider continues to grow.
Nick Hutchinson, Glider Managing Director added: “The construction industry has been – and continues to be – in a significant digital boom. It’s how Glider came to be, and we’re excited that we’re able to continue our growth at such pace. The industry benefits enormously from world-leading technology – enabling businesses to analyse project data and forecast predicted performance to avoid future operational issues ensures that projects are efficient and cost-effective, as well as environmentally friendly. We are very lucky to be a part of that, and our software is crucial to getting it done.
“Ryan will be a great asset to the team. He’s joined as a part of yet another Glider expansion, and his work will be at the forefront of everything that Glider continues to achieve. We have big plans for both our future and Ryan’s.”
