As 2021 draws to a close, once again we have all faced a challenging year, but thankfully there have been many positives we can celebrate and for Glider we have been in a fortunate position which has allowed us to grow and deliver some outstanding projects with some amazing people.
With the resurgence of live events in late 2021, it was time for the team here at Glider to venture back to Digital Construction Week (DCW), where we relished face-to-face contact, were pleased to meet up with many old friends, and took the opportunity to make new ones (all within COVID guidelines of course – fully vaccinated and proof of negative testing!).
Glider is incredibly proud to have cultivated a team of the industry’s most talented developers, information management consultants and thought leaders across its teams over the last five years. With such innovators on staff, we are committed to shaping the future of the digital built environment and helping our clients not just to take control of their data, but to know how to assure and exploit it in constructive and future-proof ways.
At Glider we are firm believers in the importance of giving back to our communities and helping those in need. That is why we are incredibly proud to be working directly with the regional charity, Stronger Together to help support people in the North East of England who are at risk of social isolation.
Glider has appointed a new Project Manager to its specialist digital construction team. Molly Giblin’s appointment will help to support Glider in meeting the increasing demand for CDEs. More specifically, Molly will be supporting clients with AIM CDE Implementation, as well as managing and maintaining data and information.
Common Data Environment (CDE) specialist Glider announces the appointment of new Risk and Compliance Manager, Ajay Mistry. Having joined the team in the autumn of 2021, Ajay will be implementing and maintaining a number of Risk and Compliance elements across the company.
British Antarctic Survey (BAS) has selected gliderbim® as its new Common Data Environment (CDE) to support the delivery of phase 2 of the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme (AIMP). This 10 year, £500m programme will deliver on a wide range of construction projects required to support operations and science delivery across five BAS research stations.
After four years of outstanding achievement at Glider, it is with a heavy heart we say a fond farewell to John Hall.
When it comes to gender equality in the workplace, the construction industry is lagging behind many other industries. For Glider, improving this imbalance is crucial to the continued innovation of digital construction and creating a more unbiased industry.
