Project Manager

  • Full Time (40 hrs p/w Monday – Friday)

  • Salary £35-50k per annum (depending on experience)

  • Working from home (permanently)

  • 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)

The Company

Established in 2016, Glider Technology (Glider) has a passion for Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Information Management, and because of this we develop and provide information management software and consultancy services to the AEC and asset management industries. 

Our Software as a Service (SaaS) is named gliderbim®, and is a new, unique brand of full lifecycle, asset information management software.  Our mission is to revolutionise how information is managed throughout design, construction and operation of the built environment.

The Glider team is made up of a diverse team of software engineers, BIM consultants, Information Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Management. All staff work from home and always will do, but we like to meet up on a regular basis for company briefings, team building, and general fun.

Job roles within Glider that are of a client-facing role will meet on a more regular basis as well as with customers for project-related or sales-related meetings. The majority of customer meetings are held at the clients own office and the frequency of meetings is individual to that project. Please note this is subject to COVID guidelines.

Job Overview

Due to phenomenal growth and success at Glider, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our expanding team. This role will support other members of the Contracts Delivery Team in the delivery of technical projects. The role requires strong planning skills, ability to make solution-based recommendations based on proactive management and resolution of risks and issues throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will be working on significant technology implementation projects for our customers across the UK, including government departments and many blue chip companies. All of our project manager roles are managed remotely, but there may be requirements to meet with customers on site from time to time.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Working across multiple projects to lead the successful design, planning and management of projects
  • Working with the Head of Operations to ensure that projects are delivered in alignment with company Standards, Methods & Procedures (SMP’s)
  • Regularly report status and progress in accordance with company standards
  • Implement quality control mechanisms to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose
  • Be proactive in identifying and managing risks and issues, escalating where appropriate,

    and applying corrective action as necessary

  • Manage project teams on a day-to-day basis

Qualifications & Skill Requirements


  • Strong knowledge and experience in IT Project Management
  • The ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and written, with team members and clients
  • Excellent organisational, time-management and people management skills

  • Prince 2 Project Management or equivalent
  • Experience in managing large data migration projects
  • Knowledge of ISO19650
